In the fall of 2025, an international design competition was announced for the redevelopment of public spaces in Rákosrendező. András Ekés, our company’s managing director, was invited to participate in the competition as an expert on the Superwien team, which ultimately tied for third place.
Aim of the design competition (according to the original call for entries):
The Budapest Capital Asset Management Centre Plc. (BFVK) as the Contracting Authority announces an international design competition entitled "Rákosrendező Masterplan – Urban and Public Space Design Competition" to select a designer to prepare a masterplan for the complex urban development of the Rákosrendező brownfield area, and, based on this, a comprehensive plan for the public space network of the new district.
